Is This Heaven? No, its Barbecue Nachos.

Some things don’t mix, they just sound weird together, milk and Pepsi, oil and water, Justin Beiber and music.

That was my first reaction when I encountered a dish of barbecue nachos.

Cheese and barbecue? I don’t think so.

I love nachos and barbecue individually but I didn’t wanna see them team up.

I like garlic toast and coffee but I’ve never enjoyed them together.

Some things should remain separate.

And then I tasted barbecue nachos from The Hog Wash Caboose.

They are so lip-smacking good you’ll wanna run home, join Ancestry dot com, find your long lost great-great-great-great grandma, just so you can slap her.

Seriously, barbecue nachos are so delightfully addictive I’ve often wondered if Rhoda Brown laced ’em with crack cocaine.

Rhoda Brown, in case you’re not familiar, is a northeast Louisiana legend and reality TV star.

Brown, an award winning barbecue chef, won national fame on the TLC show ‘Pitmasters’ a few years ago.

The Hog Wash Caboose is Rhoda’s mobile take out stand and most days you’ll find him set up in Calhoun, La – too far for me to drive on my lunch hour.

But today, thanks to Facebook (who needs advertising?) I learned that Rhoda’s world famous barbecue nachos were within my orbit, they’re set up on US Highway 165 N0rth in Monroe.

The fella who help me get my ‘fix’ explained they plan to serve the ‘Q’ every Monday and Tuesday at the same location henceforth.

So stop by and get you some. I plan to.
